Tell me what you're thinking.
Send me a few sentences about your idea, decision or problem.
Have an idea worth exploring? A business decision you're wrestling with? Something you're convinced will work?
Let's put it to the test.
I'll ask the difficult questions, challenge your assumptions and explore the arguments you might not have considered.
Not to prove you wrong. To help you think it through.
Challenge my thinkingIt's easy to get carried away with an exciting idea. It's equally easy to have one dismissed by people who don't understand it.
Neither is particularly helpful.
Friends, colleagues and family all have their own opinions. Sometimes what you need is someone with no stake in the outcome.
Someone who'll listen, question your reasoning and tell you what they actually think.
I might agree with you. I might disagree. I might argue a position I don't even believe in, just to see how your thinking holds up.
The point isn't to be right. It's to ask the questions worth asking.
Almost anything you're willing to question.
You don't need a polished pitch or a business plan.
Just something worth talking about.
THE PERSON ASKING

I'm curious about how things work, why people believe what they believe, and what happens when you look at an idea from another angle.
I've spent years running businesses, managing teams, delivering events and solving practical problems. I've seen good plans fail, questionable ideas succeed, and plenty of things that looked straightforward turn out to be anything but.
I enjoy asking questions, finding what's been overlooked and helping people work things out for themselves.
I'm not an expert in your business. I don't need to be.
I'm not invested in your operation or looking for my next promotion. I can challenge your thinking without needing you to reach a particular conclusion.
I may argue a position I don't personally hold. The point is to test yours.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
“Matt has been someone I can always trust to give advice that has not only helped my business, but me as a person. Matt takes time to listen, helps me think things through, and asks questions that have helped me to see things from another perspective. His advice and encouragement played a big part in helping my business be successful.”

Send me a few sentences about your idea, decision or problem.
We'll start with 15 minutes, free of charge, to see whether I can be useful. If there's more to explore, we can arrange a longer conversation.
You might leave more convinced than ever. You might realise something needs rethinking. Or you might find a question you hadn't thought to ask.
I can't promise answers. But I can promise an honest conversation.
No. I'm interested in finding out whether it stands up to questioning, not tearing it apart for entertainment. Sometimes the best outcome is finding more reasons to believe in it.
That's fine. You bring the knowledge; I'll bring the questions. If something needs specialist advice, I'll say so.
I'm interested in the conversation, not taking your idea. I won't share or publish what you tell me without permission. Don't include commercially sensitive information in your initial enquiry.
There isn't one. It's free. If you find it useful and want to support Honesty Works, there's an option to donate. No obligation.
This is a free service. I want anyone to be able to access it and will therefore endeavour to operate without charge.
I'd love to make Honesty Works my life's work while keeping it free to access.
If you'd like to support that, donations are welcome — but only if you can comfortably afford to give.
If you love what I do, passing on my details to others is also a welcome way to help.
Make a donationTHE GROUND RULES
A counterargument doesn’t necessarily represent my personal beliefs. Come willing to consider difficult questions and disagree respectfully.
Describe it accurately beforehand. I can decline a subject if I’m not the right person to explore it with you.
Disagreement is welcome; abuse isn’t. I’ll flag inappropriate behaviour and may end the call if it continues. Serious abuse can end a call immediately.
This is a thinking exercise, not legal, financial or specialist advice. I don’t claim expertise in every field. Check the evidence and seek qualified advice where needed.
Share enough to explain your thinking without disclosing trade secrets or sensitive personal information. Your enquiry won’t be published.
The initial call is free and lasts 15 minutes. Further calls depend on availability. If it helps, passing Honesty Works to someone else is a useful way to support it.
Request a free 15-minute conversation.
You don't need a polished pitch. Tell me what you're thinking about, why it matters to you, and what you're trying to work out.
I'll read your enquiry and get back to you if I think I can help.
